Frozen in Time – October 7th
“Frozen in Time – October 7th” chronicles a pivotal moment of inspiration for Rexx Timepieces — a blend of memory, craft, and the art of watchmaking captured in a single day. This story is not just about watches, but about the people and emotions that shape every piece we create.
This piece was not made to tell the time — but to remember.
Built and assembled entirely by hand in Tel Aviv, every element inside the 42 mm stainless-steel case was crafted, cut, engraved, and painted in the Rexx workshop. A scorched ground, red-gold embers of war, a hand-cut Star of David, and a hand-painted white dove rise beneath a clear resin dome. The hands are fixed at 06:29 AM — the moment the world turned upside down, yet time itself stood still.
This piece belongs to a category we define as an art watch — a one-of-one timepiece created around meaning rather than function, trend, or production scale. It was not designed as a limited edition, but as a personal object meant to carry memory in a physical, wearable form.
The philosophy behind art watches at Rexx — and why memory, symbolism, and craftsmanship come before aesthetics or hype — is explored in depth here:

The dial, engraving, and layered surface work for this watch were developed and executed inside REXX Studio — the independent dial-making and engraving studio behind Rexx Timepieces. This is where experimental techniques, depth control, and hand-finishing converge into finished studio work.
