Round SKX007-Inspired Leather Build
This Rexx workshop build follows the familiar proportions of a round mechanical diver rather than the square-case direction used by the neighboring SKX007 projects. Its 42mm stainless-steel case, genuine leather strap, and gold-tone dial create a more traditional wrist profile while retaining the strong bezel and practical readability associated with the SKX007 design language.
This is an independent custom watch assembled and checked by Rexx Timepieces. It is not a factory Seiko model; the build combines an NH35 automatic movement with a selected set of compatible aftermarket components.
NH35 Mechanical Foundation
The Japanese NH35 automatic movement is a proven basis for custom mechanical watches. It offers straightforward winding and time-setting behavior and is widely understood by watchmakers. This version uses a solid stainless-steel caseback, keeping the rear of the watch simple and closed rather than placing the movement on display.
Classic Shape, Workshop Character
The round 42mm case gives this build a more familiar diver stance than the two square SKX007 projects. Sapphire crystal protects the dial, while the genuine leather strap softens the sport-watch profile and makes the watch easier to pair with everyday clothing. The stated water-resistance rating is 10 ATM; seals should still be checked periodically if the watch is regularly exposed to water.
